Customer Relations Representative

Founded in 1980, SCP SCIENCE is a successful manufacturer and distributor of analytical equipment, supplies, reagents and certified reference materials for the inorganic analytical laboratories market.

The company has grown substantially in recent years through internal and contracted manufacturing, acquisition, and expansion of its sales distribution network around the world.

SCP SCIENCE is currently seeking an Customer Relations Representative who is interested in a long-term career within a professional working environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an outstanding level of service to our customers throughout the selling process.

Main duties:

  • Receive and process customer orders (telephone, fax, e-mail, mail);
  • Provide support to outside sales force to ensure that customers’ needs are met;
  • Answer customer inquiries and provide information about the company’s products and services;
  • Provide customers with information on their respective orders, accounts, claims etc.; tracking orders;
  • Ensure after sales support
  • Follow up on outstanding customer inquiries
  • Deliver courteous and pleasant experience to customers
  • Assist sales representatives with customer information
  • Make outbound calls to clients regarding product backorders
  • Other related duties as required

 

Essential skills and knowledge

  • BSc in Chemistry or a related field or D.E.C. in Chemical Technology;
  • 0- 2 years work experience in a similar position;
  • Bilingualism (French & English) is essential; any additional language would be an asset such as Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, etc;
  • Experienced professional with an excellent client approach;
  • Organized, enthusiastic, able to prioritize and deliver results;
  • Able to find creative solutions to client’s problems;
  • Strong work ethic and motivation to work hard;
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Courteous & pleasant demeanor
  • Customer-centric approach
